Detailed Solution

FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone) is a gonadotropin hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland that stimulates the growth and development of ovarian follicles in females and spermatogenesis in males. In males, FSH stimulates the Sertoli cells in the seminiferous tubules of the testes. FSH helps to regulate the function of the Sertoli cells, which in turn support and nourish the developing sperm cells.
Leydig cells, Paneth cells and Schwann cells are not stimulated by FSH. LH stimulates the Leydig cells to produce testosterone.
