Detailed Solution

Concept: Enterogastrone is a hormone secreted by duodenal mucosa in the lower gastrointestinal tract when fatty food is in the stomach or small intestine.
It inhibits secretion of gastric glands and gastric movements. It is transported to the glands in the stomach through the bloodstream and blocks production and activity of gastrin hormone. Gastrin hormones release enzymes and gastric glands that help in digestion. It inhibits forward motion of chyme contents and is similar to gastric inhibitory peptide in function. It reduces acid production, leading to slowing down of stomach emptying. It produces alkaline conditions to counteract acids in the duodenum. It decreases production of bile and many other compounds in our digestive tract.
Hence the correct answer is option 2.
