Dandi is a seaside location in the Gujarat region with a significant history of extracting salt by violating the British administration system's law and order and regulations as per the civil disobedience movement in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Salt was a great weapon against the British system as it was a common product, and the British government banned Indians from extracting salt for their use without consent. March started in Sabarmati and ended in Dandi.
