Gandhiji started the Non-Cooperation movement in 1920.
The Non-Cooperation movement was founded by Gandhi in 1920. Under government control, many students left schools and universities. Many lawyers left their professions, including Motilal Nehru, C.R. Das, C. Rajagopalachari, and Asaf Ali. British titles were renounced, and legislative bodies were ignored. The burning of foreign garments in public bonfires. The imports of foreign apparel significantly declined between 1920 and 1922. People hence rebelled peacefully against British rule. In other instances, based on how they understood Gandhiji's call, different classes and organisations protested in ways that were in opposition to his ideas. In either case, participants connected their movements and neighbourhood issues.
