Detailed Solution

Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Ottoman Turkey were the countries known as the Triple Alliance.
In May 1882, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy formed the secret Triple Alliance, which was repeatedly renewed until World War I. Since 1879, Germany and Austria-Hungary have maintained a tight alliance. Shortly after the French defeated Italy, Italy sought their cooperation against France. The treaty was contingent upon Germany and Austria-Hungary assisting Italy and pledged to maintain neutrality if Russia and Austria-Hungary went to war. Meanwhile, Ottoman Turkey also joined the alliance with Germany and Austria-Hungary. Thus the two powers, the Triple Alliance(Central Powers) and the Triple Entente(Allies), fought in the First World War.
