Detailed Solution

Ghengis Khan invaded India in 1221.
The Mongols were nomadic people that inhabited the Central Asian plains between the Ural Mountains and the Gobi Desert. They were a turbulent tribe that was often at war until Temujin, a warlord, brought them together in 1206. became known as Genghis Khan. He embarked on a course of conquest that would lead him to create an empire that, at its height in 1237, would stretch from Korea in the east to the borders of Poland in the west. When Genghis Khan pursued Jalal al-Din, the last emperor of the Khwarezmian Empire, all the way to the Indus river in 1221, he made many forays into the Indian subcontinent.
