Ginkgo biloba, a gymnosperm shows the following type of venation.

In leaves of Ginkgo, the veins arise from the base of lamina, which are repeatedly dichotomously branched and branches of veins are not cross linked. Hence the venation is open dichotomous venation. In closed type the branches of veins are cross linked.
