Detailed Solution

Giuseppe Mazzini became a member of the secret society called Carbonari.
Italian revolutionary Giuseppe Mazzini joined the Carbonari secret society. He founded two more underground organisations, Young Italy in Marseilles and Young Europe in Berne, which included like-minded young men from Poland, France, Italy, and the German states. Mazzini held that God created countries as the primary social structures of humanity. As a result, Italy could no longer exist as a patchwork of small states and kingdoms. Instead, it had to be forged into a single unified republic within a larger alliance of nations.
