Giuseppe Mazzini was an Italian revolutionary who organised many revolutions for the cause of the unification of Italy. He wanted Italy's states to unite and form a nation as a whole. Young Italy in Marseilles and Young Europe in Berne were the two underground societies he founded. Like-minded young men from France, Italy, Poland, and Germany were the members of these two underground societies.
