Giuseppe Mazzini was sent into exile in 1831 for attempting a revolution in Liguria.
1)      Giuseppe Mazzini was an Italian revolutionary born on 22 June in Genoa, Italy, in 1807.
2)      Later he became a member of the secret society of the Carbonari. In 1831, at 24, the young man attempted to revolutionise Liguria and was sent to exile.
3)      He further founded two more underground societies. One of these secretive societies was named Young Italy in Marseilles. Similarly, another secret society, Young Europe, was founded in Berne.
4)      Mazzini strongly believed that  God had purposely made nations to be the natural units of humankind. He constantly struggles throughout his life for the unification of Italy.
