(A) is true. The nephrons are the functional units of the kidneys. They can be classified into two types based on their position within the kidney - cortical nephrons and juxtamedullary nephrons. The Malpighian corpuscles of cortical nephrons are located in the outer cortex. They have short loops of Henle which extend only a little in medulla. The Malpighian corpuscles of juxtamedullary nephrons are located in the inner cortex (close to medulla). They have long loops of Henle, which extend deep into medulla.
