In bacteria,reserve materials are stored in the cytoplasm as phosphate granules, cyanophycean granules and glycogen granules.These are not bound by any membrane system and lie free in the cytoplasm as insoluble aggregates known as inclusion bodies.

Gas vacuoles are found in purple and green bacteria. They help in buoyancy. They are enclosed by a proteinaceous membrane which is not a unit membrane.
