secondary follicle. When the secondary follicle develops a fluid-filled cavity called antrum, it is called tertiary
follicle. 

SII: The graffian follicle, also known as a mature ovarian follicle, ruptures to release the secondary oocyte from the ovary. This process is termed ovulation and it is triggered by luteinizing hormone (LH). The secondary oocyte released from the ovary enters the fallopian tube, where it can potentially be fertilised by sperm.
