Tetrapoda and Pisces are two groups of Gnathostomata which is a group of Vertebrata. Tetrapods include amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammalsare which are typically characterised by the presence of four limbs. All tetrapods have a vertebral column. Therefore, all tetrapods are vertebrates.

Vertebrates are a subphylum of chordates. They are characterised by the presence of a vertebral column that replaces the notochord during development. Since all vertebrates have, at some stage in their development, the features characteristic of chordates, it follows that all vertebrates are chordates.
