Detailed Solution

Nephron is the primary functioning unit of the kidney. Urine forms in the kidney. The process of urine formation consists of various steps including glomerular filtration, reabsorption and filtration. All these processes take place in the nephron itself. The glucose that enters the nephrons long with other filtrates during the process of excretion gets reabsorbed during the tubular reabsorption stage. The reabsorption takes place through active transport. The presence of high amounts of glucose in the urine can indicate a kidney disorder.
