Detailed Solution

Gondwana was also known as a land inhabited by the Gonds.
Gondwana, which means "land inhabited by Gonds," was the name of the huge forested area where they dwelt. King Gond sought to be acknowledged as a Rajput. Therefore, they entered matrimonial connections with Rajputs to advance their rank and influence. Shifting cultivation was a practice of the Gonds. The Gonds, who were not migratory, lived in the vast forested area known as Gondwana and used the shifting farming method. The huge Gond tribe was split into numerous smaller clans, each established next to a mountain or river and later defended with thick forests. Each powerful Gond tribe had a separate raja or rai.
