Gram Sabha is the community of adult villagers who elect the Sarpanch and other Ward Panch so that they can form the Gram Panchayat and work for the welfare of the villagers. The Gram Panchayat is answerable to the Gram Sabha for its actions, policies, and administration in the concerned village or the villages that come under it. The main function of the Gram Panchayat is to work for the villagers and make them self-sufficient. The Gram Sabha looks after the working of the Gram Panchayat.
