Detailed Solution

The Gujjars Bakarwals of Jammu and Kashmir were great herders of goats and sheep. They moved annually between their summer and winter grazing grounds. Their movement was always different in different positions. In summer, the Gujjars herders went up to high meadows, not in low fields - the burials, and in winter, they came down to the dry forests of the Bhabar. The patterns of this movement between summer and winter pastures were typical of many pastoral communities of the Himalayas, like Bhotiyas, Sherpas and Kinnauris.
