Detailed Solution

Guru Gobind Singh introduced the Khalsa in 1699. Later, after he died in 1708, Khalsa revolted against the Mughals, led by Banda Bahadur Singh. They formed their dominion between the Sutlej and the Jamuna, but Banda Bahadur was caught and executed a year later. In the eighteenth century, the Sikhs organised themselves into divisions called jathas and misls, and their combined army was known as the Dal Khalsa (grand army). Guru Gobind Singh's message that their destiny was to govern inspired the Khalsa (Raj Karega Khalsa). In 1765, the Khalsa asserted their independence by minting coins with the same inscriptions.
