Detailed Solution

Guru Nanak established a religious centre in Kartarpur.
He travelled extensively before settling a centre in Kartarpur (Dera Baba Nanak on the river Ravi). His disciples started a regular worship service there that included singing Guru Nanak's hymns. No matter their previous creed, caste, or gender, his disciples ate in the communal kitchen (langar). Dharmsala was the name given to the hallowed area that Guru Nanak thus built. Its current name is Gurdwara. For 18 years, Guru Nanak led a normal home life in Kartarpur. There are many tales in Sikh history about Guru Nanak's good deeds at Kartarpur, where he established the custom known as Guru ka langar.
