Haider Ali and tipu sultan were connected with Mysore state.
Haider Ali was the father of Tipu Sultan. Both were the rulers of Mysore. Initially, Haider Ali was the soldier of the state, and then he became the faujdar of the Mysore state. Haider Ali overthrew Nanjarajar from power and usurped the power of Mysore. Haider Ali became the Nizam of Mysore in 1761. Haider Ali fought two battles with the Britishers and died during the Second Anglo-Mysore war. After that, his son Tipu sultan became the Nizam of Mysore in 1782 and continued the second anglo Mysore war, which ended with the treaty of Mangalore in 1784.
