Detailed Solution

Hauz-i-Sultani was built outside Dehli-i-Kuhna.
The Kings wanted to earn the trust of their subjects, and there was no better way than to construct temples and tanks. Temples, mosques and gurdwaras were symbols of a ruler’s power. Enabling the availability of precious water to the masses became another aim of rulers. Sultan Iltutmish built Hauz-i-Sultani, also known as “King’s Reservoir,” outside Dehli-i-Kuhna, for which he earned universal respect and acceptance from the public.
