A herbarium is a depository of plant specimens that are dried, pressed and preserved in sheets. The sheets are arranged in accordance with any accepted system of classification. The collection of specimen needs regular visits. The plants collected should be compiled in such a way that it provides full information for its proper identification. It is direct aid for identification of plants. It serve as quick referral systems in taxonomical studies.
