Detailed Solution

When a heterozygous tall plant (Tt) crosses with a homozygous dwarf plant (tt), the offspring have a 25% chance of inheriting two copies of the dwarf allele (tt) and being a dwarf plant, while 75% will be heterozygous tall (Tt) and exhibit the tall phenotype.

This is due to the fact that each parent can only contribute one allele to their offspring, and the dwarf parent can only contribute the t allele, whereas the tall parent can contribute either the T or t allele.

As a result, one-quarter of the offspring will inherit two copies of the t allele, while the other three-quarters will inherit one copy of the T allele and one copy of the t allele.
