Detailed Solution

The major goals of Hiuen Tsang's trip to India were to learn more about Buddhism and gather its sacred writings. He snuck out of there in 629 AD because the Chinese emperor had not given him permission to go to India. He entered Afghanistan after traversing the Gobi Desert and stopping at places like Kashagar, Samarkand, and Balkha in Central Asia. He encountered and discovered followers of the Light, a large number of monks and Buddhists, Stupas, and monasteries in various places.
He traveled from Afghanistan to Taxila through Peshawar. In around a year, he traveled from China to India. After that, he spent nearly fourteen years in India.
