Detailed Solution

A judge of the Supreme Court can be removed by the Parliament through impeachment. For the removal of the judges of the Supreme Court, the Constitution of India provides for a definite process called “Impeachment”.
The motion of impeachment against a judge is presented in Parliament on the grounds of proven misbehaviour or incapacity. The motion of impeachment is complicated and requires the majority of both the houses (the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha) and two-thirds of the members to present and vote to be passed. Once passed, the judge is removed from his office.
