Detailed Solution

The pressure can be increased by decreasing the area for the same force.
A surface's area can be reduced to increase pressure by applying more force where it is needed. The force per unit area is known as pressure. So, Pressure=ForceArea
According to the pressure equation, the pressure is inversely proportional to the body's surface area and directly proportional to the force applied. As a result, the force remains constant, and the only way to alter the pressure is to alter the body's surface area. Because the pressure and surface area are inversely related, as the surface area decreases, the pressure also rises. Therefore, by applying the same force to a smaller surface area, the pressure can be raised. Thus the pressure P is inversely proportional to contact area A. So when the area increases, the pressure will decrease.
