How do Western and Eastern Ghats differ in average elevation and peak height?

The Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats differ significantly in their elevation and peak height. The Western Ghats are higher, with an average elevation ranging between 900 to 1600 meters, and they contain some of the tallest peaks in South India, including Anamudi in Kerala, which rises to about 2695 meters. 

In contrast, the Eastern Ghats are lower and more eroded, with an average height of around 600 to 900 meters, and their highest peak is Jindhagada Peak in Andhra Pradesh at about 1690 meters. This difference in elevation shows that the Western Ghats are more rugged and continuous, while the Eastern Ghats are older, more worn down, and less imposing in height.
