Concept: The sun is the primary component or body of our solar system. In an elliptical sequence, the planets all orbit the sun. The temperature ratings of the sun's many layers and parts vary. The chromosphere is present outside and the photosphere is present inside at the sun's surface.
The surface of the sun is not flat. The photosphere is the layer that we can see. In the electromagnetic spectrum's visible region, this layer emits the most light. In other words, the Sun's corona is almost 300 times hotter than the surface layer beneath it. The Sun's outermost layer is hotter than the layers directly beneath it.
Nearly 6000 K is the temperature of the photosphere (surface) , close to 10,000 K is the temperature of the chromosphere (atmosphere) , close to 10,000 K is the temperature of prominence, close to 1,000,000 K is the temperature of the corona, close to 16,000,000 K is the temperature of the core, and close to 20,000,000 K is the temperature of the flare.
The sun's surface temperature is represented by the number 5778 K.
