How many Articles are there in the Indian Constitution?

The Constitution of India is the longest written constitution in the world. When it came into force on 26th January 1950, it originally contained 395 Articles divided into 22 Parts and 8 Schedules. These Articles laid down the framework for the functioning of the Union Government, State Governments, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, and the Judiciary.
