 Measures of the wall,
l=12m b=6m h=4.5m  
Volume of wall  =lbh =12×6×4.5 =324 m 3 =324000000 c m 3    [1m=100cm]
According to the given condition,
Volume of mortar =V 1 10  
Volume remained after volume occupied by mortar is removed,
=324000000 324000000 10 = 3240000000324000000 10 =219600000c m 3   Volume of 1 brick=18×12×10 =2160 c m 3  
Let’s assume that n is representing the number of bricks.
Then,
Volume of wall after mortar use  = n Volume of a brick 291600000 = 2160× n n= 291600000 2160 n= 135000   Thus, 135000 bricks are required to build a wall 12 m   long, 6 m   wide and 4.5 m   high, when 1 10   of its volume is occupied by mortar.
