Detailed Solution

It is given dimensions of each brick as 25 cm×10 cm×8 cm   and that of wall as length 5 m, height 3 m, and thickness 16 cm.
The formula for converting the value in meter to cm is given by:
1m=1×100cm  …. (1)
Convert the length of the wall from 5m   to equivalent cm using the formula 1  ,
5m=5×100cm 5m=500cm
Convert the height of the wall from 3m   to equivalent cm using the formula 1  ,
  3m=3×100cm 3m=300cm
Size of the wall = 500cm×300cm×16cm
Size of the brick =25cm×10cm×8cm
Determine the number of bricks required by dividing the size of the wall by the size of
 Number of bricks = 500cm×300cm×16cm 25cm×10cm×8cm
Number of bricks =20×30×2
  Number of bricks =1200          Thus, the number of bricks required is 1200.
Hence option (3) is correct.
