How many enzymes does a cockroach have?

Cockroaches are insects with flat, oval-shaped bodies and a reddish-brown colour. They are known for their agility and ability to survive in a variety of environments.

There are about forty different types of enzymes in a cockroach, but cockroach saliva is mostly made up of two different enzymes, one that breaks down carbohydrates and another that helps the insect in the digestion process. 

These enzymes are secreted by the salivary glands in the first pair of legs.
