Detailed Solution

Concept- We will write an equation that the amount of pure salt and amount of salt in solution of 30kg will be equal to 10% of the total solution amount. Remember that when we add an amount of pure salt in solution then the total amount of solution will be increased.
Given 2% salt in 30kg solution=30 kg×2100=0.6kg
Amount of pure salt added is x
Total amount of pure salt =0.6+x kg
x kg of pure salt added then total  amount of pure salt =(30+)kg
According to the question,
 (0.6+x kg)10% of (30+)kg
So here we can write:
0.6=x=10100×(30+x)
0.6+x=0.1(30+x)
0.6+x=3+0.1x
x-0.1x=3-0.6
0.9x=2.4
x=2.40.9
x=2.667kg
Hence, the answer is option 4.
