It is given a pipe having an area of cross section 5  cm 2   and speed of water in the pipe is 30 cm/sec.
As, 1minute=60seconds
So, water flow in 1 minute =30×60  
  Water flow in 1 minute =1800cm  
We know, volume = π r 2 h  
The area of cross-section is π r 2   = 5  cm 2   and h=1800   cm  
Volume=5×1800 Volume=9000c m 3  
As 1000 c m 3  =1litre,
Volume= 9000 1000  l Volume=9liters    Therefore, the volume of water flowing out of a pipe in 1 minute is 9 liters.
Hence option (1) is correct.
