How many moons does saturn have

As of March 2025, Saturn has 274 confirmed moons, the most of any planet. This sharp increase follows the identification and confirmation of 128 additional small, faint moons using deep imaging and “shiftandstack” techniques; the discoveries were announced through the Minor Planet Center and reported by major scientific outlets. 

The count includes large moons like Titan (with a thick nitrogen atmosphere) and Enceladus (with waterrich plumes), plus hundreds of kilometerscale irregular satellites. In exam answers, state the current confirmed number and date, and note that counts can change as surveys continue.
