All muscle tissue cells are long and elongated. They are nucleated whose number may vary in different types of muscle tissue.

Smooth muscle cells are spindle-shaped and possess only a single nucleus in the center of the cell.

Cardiac muscle cells are long and cylindrical having only one nucleus in the center of the cell.

Skeletal muscle cells are long and cylindrical and contain more than one nucleus lying at the periphery of the cell.

Thus, both smooth and cardiac muscle tissues have one nucleus in their cells.
