How Many Nuclei are Present in a Zygote?

A zygote contains one nucleus.

This is because, during fertilization, the nucleus of the sperm and the nucleus of the egg fuse together to form a single nucleus in the zygote. Although each gamete initially contributes one nucleus, these promptly merge after fertilization, resulting in a single, diploid nucleus within the zygote.

This single nucleus carries the complete set of genetic material required for developing a new organism.
