Poverty is a matter of great concern for our nation as a whole. One-fifth of our population is living a life where they are unable to fulfil their basic needs. It is often seen that parents of low-income families are not sending their kids' education to schools. It is not like they do not want their children to do well in life; it is only a part of the financial crisis that they are facing. At present, 30 crore people are living below the poverty line. The government of India is making many attempts to improve the living conditions of these people by providing various minimum needs programs as well as employment generation programs.
