Detailed Solution

We have to check the number of perpendicular bisectors that can be drawn to divide a line segment of 6.5 cm into 4 parts.

First, a line PQ of 6.5 cm is drawn and then an arc from point P is drawn.

Next, another arc is drawn from point Q.

A line is then drawn from the point where these two intersections of the arc meet.

So, point O becomes the center of the 6.5 cm line.

This results in 2 parts.

Then we will construct two similar perpendiculars, meeting at point A and point B.

Thus, AP=AO=OB=BQ=1.625 cm, which we measure using a ruler.

Therefore, four parts of line 6.5 cm are created using 3 perpendicular bisectors.
