Detailed Solution

Concept- The two types of fibres that make up all fabrics are natural and synthetic (or a blend of the two). Natural and synthetic fibres both have advantages and disadvantages; whereas synthetic fibres are produced using chemicals, natural fibres are derived from plants and animals and are valued in the textile industry for various factors.
There are two types of fibres which are soluble fibres and insoluble fibres. Both these fibres are necessary for our body as they help in digestion and prevent diseases.
Soluble fibres are fibres which absorb water and turn into gel consistency during the process of digestion.
They reduce the risk of heart diseases. They are found in pulses, seeds, nuts, etc.
Insoluble fibres are those which help in adding volume to the stool and help in faster movement through the intestines. They are found in vegetable, whole grain etc
Hence, the correct answer is an option (1).
