In simple terms, there are three main types of resources: natural resources, human resources, and human-made (man-made) resources.

1) Natural Resources

These come from nature. Examples are water, air, soil, forests, minerals, sunlight, and wind. Natural resources can be renewable (like sunlight and wind) or non-renewable (like coal and petroleum).

2) Human Resources

These are people and their skills, knowledge, health, and creativity. Teachers, doctors, engineers, farmers, and artists are all human resources. Education and training improve human resources.

3) Human-made Resources

These are things created by people using natural resources and skills. Examples include roads, machines, buildings, tools, technology, and vehicles. Human-made resources increase comfort, speed, and productivity.
