How many types of respiration are there in the human body?

Aerobic and anaerobic respiration are the two types of respiration that occur, based on the presence or absence of oxygen. 

The respiration process that occurs in the presence of oxygen is called aerobic respiration, generally seen among humans.

Anaerobic means “without air”. Therefore, this type of cellular respiration does not use oxygen to produce energy.
