Detailed Solution

The Delhi Sultans collected three types of taxes.
Northern India underwent several significant fiscal, agrarian, and land reforms under the Delhi Sultan. Under the Delhi Sultans' rule, three different levies or taxes existed. The name for the agricultural tax was Kharaj which was imposed on all agricultural produce. This tax accounted for about 50% of the peasant's harvest. The other two sorts of taxes were those on cattle and residences. The government began directly collecting land taxes under Alauddin Khalji. As a result, the local chieftains' ability to collect taxes was suspended, and they, in turn, were also made to pay taxes.
