Concept- Establish a relationship between Power , energy and time .
We have ,
i - Time taken by the electric heater , t = 15 minutes  .
ii- Power of heater , P = 5 KW  
As we need answers in joules so we need to convert the units of power and time in Joules / sec  and second respectively.
t = 15 min = 15 × 60 sec = 900 sec  
P= 5 KW =. 5 × 1000 J/s. = 5000 J / s  
Now we have relationship between Energy , Power and time :-
Energy = Power × time
Energy =5000× 900  
Energy =4.5 ×  10 6. J
