How to apply for passport?

To apply for a passport, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Register and Log In

• Visit the official Passport Seva Portal and create a new user account.
• Use your newly created User ID and password to log in.

Step 2: Complete the Application and Schedule an Appointment

• Click on “Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport.”
• Fill out the online form carefully and submit it.
• Select “Pay and Schedule Appointment” to proceed with payment and booking.
• Pay the required fee online using a debit/credit card or internet banking.
• Choose your preferred Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) and select an available appointment date.
• Print the Application Receipt, which includes your Appointment Reference Number (ARN) for future use.

Step 3: Visit the PSK/POPSK

• Visit the selected center on your scheduled appointment date and time.
• Bring all original documents for verification, such as proof of identity, date of birth, address, and nationality.
• Once your documents are verified and the process is completed, you can track your passport application status online through the Passport Seva Portal.
