How to get UP domicile certificate?

A domicile certificate proves that you are a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh. It is useful for NEET counselling, government jobs, scholarships, etc.

• Children of parents who are permanent residents of UP

Where to apply?
You can apply:

• Online on the official UP government portal: edistrict.up.gov.in
• Offline at:
• Tehsil office
• SDM office
• Collectorate

Documents required:
You will need:

• Application Form (if offline)
• ID Proof – Aadhaar Card / Voter ID / Passport
• Address Proof – Electricity bill / Ration card / Rent agreement
• Birth Certificate or Class 10 mark sheet (for DOB proof)
• Affidavit stating how long you have stayed in UP
• Parents’ Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
• Passport-size photographs

• Register or log in with your ID.
• Select "Domicile Certificate" service.
• Fill in the form with correct details.
• Upload required documents.
• Pay the processing fee (if any).
• Submit the application.

How long does it take?
Usually, 7–15 working days.

You will get a digitally signed certificate which can be downloaded online.
