You can find your Universal Account Number (UAN) for your provident fund (PF) account via your employer, EPFO portal or by SMS/email if activated.

Methods to know your UAN:

Method	Description
Ask your employer	Your employer should have allotted you UAN and can provide it.
Visit EPFO member portal	Go to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) portal, click “Know your UAN”, enter your Member ID, mobile number and other details to retrieve.
Check SMS or email	If UAN was activated, you may have received SMS/email from EPFO with your UAN.

Notes:

UAN is a unique number for your PF account that remains the same across employers.
Ensure your mobile number is linked with EPFO records to retrieve easily.
Once you have UAN, activate it on EPFO portal to access further services.
