How to Reach Chilika Lake from Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, is the nearest major city and transport hub to Chilika Lake. The lake spans multiple districts — Puri, Khordha, and Ganjam — so the access point depends on which part you want to visit (Satapada, Rambha, Barkul, etc.).

1. By Road

• Distance: ~70 km to Satapada (Puri side), ~100 km to Barkul, ~120 km to Rambha.
• Route: Take NH-16 (Bhubaneswar–Balugaon–Barkul) or NH-316 (via Puri–Satapada).
