Dasas and Dasayu were treated by the Aryans as slaves. Dasas or Dasayus were probably indigenous people of the Indian subcontinent. They occupied the lowest position in Vedic society and were treated as slaves and servants by the Aryans. They were often captured during the wars. Dasas had dark skin and flat noses. The Aryans defeated them and did not treat them well. They enslaved many of them. Dasyus had to work for the victors and do the most complex and harsh jobs.
